Thinking, Creating, Reflecting: Impacting the Future

Bluestems’ Dossier: Feb.19 – Feb.22

Bluestems’ Notes:

Super exciting news!!! Our class and Early Elementary collected the most $$ during Spectrum’s Pennies for Patients event during November! We are being treated to an Olive Garden Lunch on Tuesday, February 26. It will be delivered at 11:15. You only need to send a lunch if your child doesn’t care for pasta, salad and bread sticks.

Drama Class

Half of our drama class made a short clip today. For black history month, students learned about Martin Luther King Jr in class with Sally and Kellie. Today, they were able to recall all the amazing things they learned, and were focused on how much he accomplished and students listened to part of his famous speech for the first time. Here they are sharing their dreams about a better world.

Planning for the Future!

Career Day

We were inspired by an architect, a chiropractor, a physician, a dentist and a fire fighter during our career day! Also, Middle School students made a bridge for Intermediate to walk under as we transitioned between guest speakers. The connections between years is just another reason to love Spectrum!

Tea Time!

Trying sassafras tea like Sam Gribley from our book My Side of the Moutain!

A New Connection!

We went and began an amazing connection Friday with our new friends at the IQRA School of Rockford!

Highlights from the Band Tour Concert Friday afternoon!

Celebrating the February birthdays with a new treat recipe!

Let's meet back here in March for the next rendition of the Bluestems' Dossier!
