I’d like to offer my formal congratulations to the Future Problem Solvers, who competed at the state level on the topic of the future of Mining. Calum, Lily, Nathan, and Braeden earned a fourth place in Written packets and a first place in their section in orals. Nolan, Felix, Lilah, and Ben finished their packer, had a great step 2, an amazing orals, but did not place. (Over 50 teams at that level, most in 7th-9th, where three of ours were 6th). Ayman placed first and Jace placed second in written packets on alternate teams.
Thank you to the entire staff, students, and Compass for the outpouring of love and support in celebration of my birthday. How you got so many children, including my granddaughters, to keep mum on a surprise party is beyond me.
I’ll be taking some time off for reflection, retreat, and renewal for the next week or so. I’ll be in for scheduled meetings and obligations, but otherwise away from the fray and working from home. Ask Marci if there is something you need.
Have a great weekend.
