Laughter in the halls
Staff kids run and play
As their mommies work away
Getting our sweet school ready for this fall
It’s beginning to feel a lot like Spectrum
Planning for learning and fun
Centers and circles and themes
Ideas by the reams
Whether inside or outside in the sun!
Our little community where everyone counts
Is gearing up for school
Our teachers are working so hard I buy them water to keep them cool
It doesn’t seem fair that the summer is over but then I think again
That mom and dad can hardly wait for school to start again
It’s beginning to look a lot like Spectrum
Where learning is a joy
Belonging and empathy and
Unhackable brains are the goal
At this special place in Rockford, Illinois!
Words by Dr. Mary Beth Cunat, sung to tune “Beginning to look a lot like…”
