When I come off of a day like today (Wednesday) after some really fun math, really fun reading, and productive project time, it makes me so grateful to be at our little school. I was impressed with Luna Vavra’s deep commitment to the Arctic Fox, reaching out to an organization in Sweden that is trying to increase and stabilize Arctic Fox populations. Luna made a short vlog explaining why she wants to save the species.
Intermediate students are making original drawings of their chosen animals, which will go to a professional graphic designer in Argentina who will work with our students via Zoom to develop their artwork to a “publishable” level.
Empathy for Endangered Animals is already going global. Amazing. What a gift to be at a school where we really believe and act on the possibility of children being changemakers.
