Science and Drama: they balance each other out!
Quick reminder! This Monday, October 29, is our field trip to Goebbert’s Pumpkin Patch in Pingree Grove, IL. Drivers are still needed! Also, all students need to bring $12 for admission as well as a bagged lunch.
Now, your week in review!
Edible plant cells
These Upper Elementary students are doing some hands on science as they learn the parts of a cell and label with yummy toppings!
Chlorophyll extraction
You’re looking at students who LITERALLY extracted the chlorophyll from the leaves you see. Those leaves started as different colors but all still had the green chlorophyll!
Halloween drama monologues
Silly moments from our Halloween drama monologues: one about being a pirate and one about being the new kid and feeling like an alien. This was a great example of these Upper Elementary students learning to make purposeful character choices while still putting their playful twist on it!! BRAVO!
Be sure to check back next week for new entries in the Bluejays' Journal!
