Thinking, Creating, Reflecting: Impacting the Future

Early Elementary Highlights! Oct. 30 – Nov. 3

Dia de Muertos!

In preparation for Día de Muertos, I built an ofrenda in the classroom and Early students helped me add more paper marigolds. We talked about the parts of the ofrenda, the meaning behind each item, and the tradition of the day. It was a fun lesson!

So much fun playing Halloween Math Bingo with Miss Shawnna!

3D Art Center!

This week in Early art classes, we opened the 3D art center! Thanks to all of the generous donations of recyclables, we are able to start making a whole new type of art.
Students learned how to connect cardboard without loads of hot glue, and we reviewed how to properly use materials. Everyone got to practice these skills and are ready to start creating tomorrow in art class if they choose!

We had so much fun learning all about seeds and spreading some in our prairie with Miss Claire!

A Language Center morning!

Serafina shared her wonderful book, “Rocks and Minerals!”

December Holiday Program!

Halloween is over. It’s time to start practicing for our December Holiday Program. In class, we talked about the program and listened to the music. Can you guess what the theme of our song is?
