Dear Spectrum Family and Friends,
year, we continue our tradition of developing critical thinking skills,
learn-by-doing techniques, and strong social/emotional development.
At Spectrum we teach children first, not curriculum. We build academic
skills one day at a time through hands-on, highly focused lesson plans
coordinated by staff from Pre-school all the way to middle school. With
an emphasis on nature, the integration of the arts through chorus, dance,
theatre, and creative writing, and an awareness of high-tech tools like 3D
Printers, laser cutters, and even computer driven routers, we seek to
unleash the creativity and natural intelligence of each and every child
while preparing them for the world they will live in.
Thank you all for selecting Spectrum Progressive School and the
incredibly talented faculty and staff. Fasten your seat belts as we reach

By the way, because I was there on the first day of school, I witnessed
students, within a half hour of arriving, engaged in some activity with
their teachers. The Sound of Silence was deafening. “Quiet: Thinking
Going on.”
