I’m dreaming of the winter vacation
And looking forward to some sleep.
Where the children’s noises,
And variably sweet voices,
Are somewhere else for just a couple weeks.
I’m dreaming of some quiet mornings,
And afternoons and evenings, too.
With some family celebrations
and tasty libations…
… a toddy and a spiced eggnog or two.
I’m wishing every Spectrum family
A safe and happy holiday.
With warmth and joy together,
And tolerable weather,
With cookies, gifts, and love along the way.
I’m wishing you a lovely new year,
With learning, joy, and lots of fun.
For all the Spectrum children, every one….
From now until we feel the summer sun.
