Below is a lovely email we received from a school in Bar Harbor, Maine. It was such a boost to me that I thought I would share it with you. Consider: You never know how your work impacts and connects with others, and it is nice when you get to see that it does.
Email from Media Specialist Lily Stevens:
My name is Lily Stevens and as a media specialist up here in Bar Harbor, Maine, I just wanted to send the staff at Spectrum School a thank-you note for putting together your collection of virtual tours on your ‘Parent & Family Resources’ web page! (This one – www.spectrumschool.org/familyresources/)
For the winter months, our library is hosting a special ‘Exploring the World from Home’ workshop as part of our Arts & Entertainment series. We did this last year and it was a huge hit! (Winter months in Bar Harbor can be pretty brutal, so it’s always nice to have some programming that can be done from home!) In preparation, I’m compiling a resource guide for the attendees and I have some student volunteers assisting me. Your webpage led us to some fantastic virtual field trips to incorporate, so my students requested I reach out and let you know how much you’ve helped us 🙂
As a thank you, I wanted to share this curated collection of virtual tours that my student Amanda found…

Amanda was very excited to share it with you! She thought other families would enjoy it, and that it would make a great addition! Will you let me know if you’re able to include it for her on your page, under Activities for Children? I know Amanda would be thrilled to see she could help! I meet with her on Saturday afternoon!
Looking forward to hearing from you!
