Our Middle School students enjoyed a surprise performance from the Windy City Players doing Tom Sawyer. MS acted as great supports to younger students (and got a few laughs too when they gave the suggestion to Tom to “dab”).

I am very excited to start our first whole class novel, Across Five Aprils, about an Illinois family surviving the American Civil War. Learned about bildungsroman and coming of age stories.
