How strong is an egg?
We did an experiment and found out eggs are pretty strong! We stacked books, dry erase boards, water jugs, even reams of paper on our eggs!
Inch by Inch!
Inch by Inch by Leo Lionni is about an inchworm who decides to measure things with his body. The classmates measured things around our room that were 1in long, and also got a pretend inchworm and measured their shoes. Ask your child if they remember how many inches long their shoe is?
Michael Recycle!
We read the story Michael Recycle. We talked about ways we can be kind to our earth and made some cute ”litterbugs” to remind us to throw our garbage away or take it with us if a garbage can can’t be found.
We also learned two new Earth day songs, learned about the 3R‘s (reduce, reuse, and recycle), and made earth coffee filters. Thank you Miss Dianne for your help with these fun projects!
Icky Sticky Bubble Gum!
Help the Earth!
We continued to talk about ways to help our earth and how plants help our world by keeping the air clean. We even got to plant some marigold seeds!
Johanna, Max, and Julian giving their best efforts to make slime with whatever they can find!
Happy 4th Birthday Ellis!
Happy Earth Day!
We read the story Thank you, Earth, which shows the beauty of nature in our world. The classmates then created the earth by tracing their own circle and using various material to represent the water and land. We love our earth!
Thank you Bailey, Holden, Henry, and Andrea for sharing your Show & Tell stuffies this week!
