One of our Board members came across an out-of-school online learning opportunity for 10-13 year olds that looks pretty interesting. It is a 70-minute class that costs $15. Other than Presidents’ Day, we can lend devices or have students participate at school if you want to sign your child up. Just let Mary Beth know the date you’d like to participate.
Polygon Fun!
Making polygons out of two or more existing polygons. Check your students’ memory on the names of 3,4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 sided shapes! We are also on the lookout for other words that contain those prefixes (think tripod, triathlon, triplet)
Ecobricks in Progress!
Japanese Class!
Keiko introduced us to her former student, Cherish. She lives in Japan and we are pen pals with her class!
Parker Looks Up!
We read this book to inspire us to think of an ordinary moment that became extraordinary. This book was written by 4-year-old Parker Curry and her mother Jessica after a museum-goer snapped a now viral picture of Parker in front of a portrait of First Lady Michelle Obama.
Ask your students if they have thought about the BIG moment they are going to write about and what it meant to them (some still need help coming up with that idea).
Making good progress on our American Revolution projects!
It was GREAT to have your students back in the classroom this week!
